April Nguyen
April Nguyen is a junior at the University of Vermont, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Global Business and a minor in History. This fall, she is excited to join Cultivate to combine her experience in social media, communications, and graphic design with her growing interest in public relations.
April has experience in digital marketing and communications through roles with Emma Cook Music and UVM’s Mosaic Intercultural Center, where she created social media content, edited short-form videos, and supported promotional campaigns. She currently serves as a Teaching Assistant for Intro to Integrative Health, a role she pursued out of her passion for the subject.
Beyond the business school, she is interested in studying East and South Asian history. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, creating digital art, and filming vlogs with her Sony camera to share with her family. Since moving in with her roommates, she also loves spending time with them watching horror movies and playing games on the Nintendo Wii and Switch.

What are you weirdly good at?

What would you say to someone who is considering doing an internship?
Do it!!! It doesn’t hurt to try. You get to meet so many amazing people, and you'll figure out what you actually like (and don't like) before committing to a career path. Worst case, you get a great story and a few good contacts. Best case, it opens doors you didn't know existed!
