Cold Hollow Sculpture Park 🌳

Cold Hollow Sculpture Park announced its 2026 season, running from June 6 through October 12. This year introduces new programming and expanded offerings for visitors, and is the first season under new Executive Director Robin Schatell.

A highlight of the season is the launch of “Among the Sculptures,” a monthly Saturday afternoon series exploring the connection between art and the natural world.

Manchester Music Festival 🎻

The Manchester Music Festival announced its 52nd season, Sounding America: The Music That Shaped Us, running July 7 through September 6.

In recognition of America’s 250th anniversary, the season will feature five mainstage programs celebrating the evolution and impact of American classical music, with both familiar works and unexpected discoveries.

Renee Rows the Atlantic 🌊

On April 2, 2026, at age 43, Renee Blacken became the oldest American woman to complete a solo row across the Atlantic ocean. She made the 3,200-mile journey from Lanzarote to Antigua in 65 days with no resupply, motor, or sail.

Her remarkable achievement also raised awareness for trauma recovery, making the journey a great physical feat with a powerful purpose.

Run Vermont 🏃

RunVT is gearing up for the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon & Relay, taking place Sunday, May 24 in Burlington.

Recently named one of Runner’s World’s Best Spring Marathons and a Vermont Signature Event, the race draws more than 5,000 runners, 20,000 spectators, and 800 volunteers each year. From the energy of Church Street to the scenic finish along Lake Champlain, it is a community celebration unlike any other.

Vermont Symphony Orchestra 🎼

The Vermont Symphony Orchestra is welcoming the season with its Jukebox Quartet Concert: Porch Songs – Americana Roots, an intimate program exploring the depth and diversity of American music.

On May 9, VSO will present its season finale featuring Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, a powerful and iconic work performed by a full orchestra, chorus, and soloists. The concert begins at 7:30pm, with a free pre-concert discussion at 6:30.

The VSO has also announced America 250, its summer festival tour conducted by Music Director Andrew Crust, with performances across five Vermont venues from July 1 through July 5.
