Kallie Kunukkasseril
Meet Kallie Kunukkasseril, a senior at the University of Vermont studying Public Communications with a concentration in Media and Journalism. This fall, she’s very excited to join Cultivate as an intern, where she’ll bring her passion for storytelling, community impact, and creative media.
At UVM, Kallie has explored a wide range of media projects, from graphic design to writing. Her experiences include a production internship with Vermont Public, managing social media for campus organizations, and creating graphic marketing assets, all driven by her passion for storytelling and building community. Most recently, she spent a semester studying abroad in Scotland, an experience that deepened her perspective on culture, media, and global communication.
Outside of her work, Kallie enjoys exploring new films and music, creating videos as part of her film studies minor, and finding inspiration in fashion, especially sustainable fashion. She also loves being outside and enjoying her time with her friends.
Kallie has had the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, including client research, social media content calendar creation, and designing graphic assets for both clients and Cultivate’s own channels. Her favorite work has been creating visual assets, which allows her to exercise her creativity while getting to know brands. She's excited to continue building on these experiences and learning more about the PR world this fall.
Q&A with Kallie
Q: What has been your favorite project you have worked on so far at Cultivate?
“One of my favorite projects at Cultivate has been creating graphic design assets for social media and client events. I love this type of work because it lets me combine creativity and strategy, turning ideas into visuals. Through this process I feel like I’ve also gotten to know Cultivate better and developed a deeper understanding of Cultivate’s voice as a PR firm.”
Q: How would you describe Cultivate in three words?
“I would describe Cultivate as engaging, connected, and impactful.”
Q: What’s something new you’ve learned about the industry while working here?
“Working with Cutivate has broadened my perspective of PR in a variety of ways. What stands out to me the most is learning the importance of building authentic client relationships. I’ve realized that PR isn't solely about promoting a client, it's about truly understanding their voice and story in order to create meaningful and successful results.”
Q: What advice would you give to future interns?
“I would say be comfortable with the fact that you may not know everything. This is a learning experience and you have a great support system, so be accepting of challenges and don't be afraid to ask questions.”
Casey Huczko
Meet Casey Huczko, a senior at the University of Vermont pursuing a dual degree in Marketing and Statistics. This fall, she’s excited to join Cultivate, where she’ll continue exploring her passions for creative marketing and data-driven insights.
Casey is deeply involved in campus life. She serves on the Grossman Student Advisory Committee to the Dean, where she leads initiatives like the Professional Business Attire Event, and she's a dedicated member of Dance Force, performing in their spring showcase each year. Her academic journey also took her to New Zealand, where studying abroad broadened her perspective on life, learning, and global connection.
Casey describes herself as an introverted people-person: Someone who values meaningful interactions, but recharges in quieter moments. Outside the classroom and workplace, she channels her creativity into crafts like crocheting and scrapbooking, TV shows, books, and true crime podcasts. Most of all, she treasures quality time with her family and friends, especially when that time can be spent in the sun. And a fun fact? Casey has only ever had hermit crabs as pets and has swum in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans.
